Obituary Published in the Sacramento Bee on 2/11/2006. MILLER, Floyd M Oct. 28 1912 - Feb. 9, 2006 Born in Williston, ND. Died of cardiac arrest. Survived by wife Joyce Sheehan; sons Gary and Sam; granddaughter Ariel, four sisters and one brother. Member of 102 Sirs, Carmichael Elks and 50 year member of Masonic Lodge. Cremation. There will be no services. Donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital. Although 93 years old, Floyd has been very active in SIR bowling and golf activities over the years. He was our Golf Club’s first Golf Course Scheduler, a job he held for many years. Born in Williston, North Dakota, Floyd joined the Army Quartermasters in 1942 and helped deliver amunition and food during the Guadalcanal invasion. Upon discharge from the service he learned the trade of “Watch Making”, a skill in constant demand at those times and was employed by Grebitus and Sons.
