GUSTAFSON, Clarence D.(Gus) Age 85, born May 14, 1920 in Sacramento, has joined his beloved wife (Ruth) and daughter (Janet) in Heaven. Gus lost his long, hard battle to heart disease on January 11, 2006. He will be sorely missed by his daughter, Linda and husband Bob; his son, David and wife Alicia; his youngest son, Jim; and his grandchildren, Spence, Chris, Gregg, Annie and David and his 6 great-grandchildren. He also leaves the second love of his life of 12 years, Reva Butler. Gus served in the Navy as a Seaman during WWII in the South Pacific, and was discharged after surviving the sinking of his ship at sea. He worked as a firefighter at Mather Field and retired after 25 years. He then worked in body shops in Sacramento for 10 additional years. Gus loved life to the fullest and was known as a dedicated family man. He enjoyed dirt bikes, camping, and loved to dance at the Moose Hall until the last few months of his life. Gus had charm, personality, and a smile that made him "unforgettable" and the life of the party. He will be missed by many friends who just enjoyed being with him. We will miss his stories, smile, and his ability to always be there for whoever needed him. He will be forever loved and forever missed.
