Obituary Published in the Sacramento Bee from 12/10/2005 - 12/11/2005. GOLDSMITH, George William Born June 18, 1920 in Duluth, MN. Entered into rest on December 5, 2005 in Carmichael, CA after a short illness. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a pilot of B-25 and B-17 aircraft, and also served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He attended the University of Minnesota, and later graduated, with distinction, from McGeorge School of Law in 1954, and began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Sacramento. Subsequently, he was in private practice of the law until his retirement. He also retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1981 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen & Florence Goldsmith; and by his first wife, Harriett S. Goldsmith. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline P. Goldsmith of Carmichael; and his son, Michael (Maryll) Goldsmith of Sacramento. At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements by Chapel Of The Valley in Citrus Heights.
