CHAPMAN SCOTCH aka; HIT, SWITCH & CHOOSE:

TWO MAN TEAMS

EACH PARTNER WILL TEE OFF WITH HIS OWN BALL, THEN SWITCH AND HIT HIS PARTNER’S BALL.

THEN SELECT ONE BALL AND PLAY ALTERNATE SHOTS WITH THAT BALL UNTIL HOLED OUT. REPEAT PROCEDURE ON EACH HOLE. RECORD THE SCORE.

TEAM HANDICAP WILL BE 50% OF THE COMBINED HANDICAP, WHICH SHOULD ALREADY BE NOTED ON YOUR CARD.

FOUR MAN SCRAMBLE FORMAT:

EACH TEAM CONSISTS OF AN “A”, “B”, “C” AND “D” PLAYER.

TEAM HANDICAP IS POSTED ON EACH CARD.  THE TEAM HANDICAP IS CALCULATED BY ADDING 50% OF THE “A” PLAYER TO 12% OF THE COMBINED TOTAL OF THE “ B”, “C” & “D” PLAYERS.

“A” & “B” PLAYERS USE 3 TEE SHOTS EACH, WHILE “C” & “D” PLAYERS USE TWO SHOTS EACH.

PLACE AN X ON EACH PERSON’S DRIVE HOLE.

BALL CAN BE PLACED WITHIN ONE CLUB LENGTH OF THE SELECTED BALL EXCEPT IN A HAZARD OR ON THE GREEN. (NO CLOSER TO THE GREEN)

BUNKERS CAN BE RAKED AFTER EACH SHOT.

TEAMS SHORT A PLAYER, THE REMAINING PLAYERS, IN ROTATION, MAY HIT A SECOND BALL

2-MAN SCRAMBLE)

Any order of play may be used.

After the team selects the best shot, the other ball, may be placed within 1 (one) club length (no closer to the hole) of where the chosen ball lay. You may not improve your lay by moving out of a hazard or out of the rough. On the putting green, the other ball must be placed on the spot where the chosen ball lay.  In the trap rake the divot mark from the first player and place the ball in the same location.

The score of the first ball holed, even by mistake, will count and that ends the stroke play for that hole.

Total gross for the 18 holes less 30% of your combined handicap.

(That should already be on your card)

Each player must use 4 of his drives on both the front and the back nine.

All other USGA and local rules apply.
