Information on the Picnic
All systems are GO for the SIR picnic 21May08.. Lots
of people have been working hard to make this a big success. The steaks
and chicken are on order.
That morning enter Carmichael Park via Grant Avenue. Our
picnic area is at the far South end of the Park in the NAY
MEMORIAL PICNIC SHELTER.
This large covered area has ample tables and benches. You will
probably prefer your own tableware, but we will also have plastic plates
& utensils available. Be sure and bring your food tickets
..........as well as hard cover or paperback books to be exchanged. ...
You may also bring a check to sign
up for the Saturday June 21st bus/ferry trip to San Francisco
.
We leave the Elks at 7:45 a.m. and board the ferry in
Vallejo at 10:00. Its a one-hour and 20 minute boat ride
across the bay to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf areas. Price is $52 per
person (if you lucky enough to be 65) or $61 if you haven't got
